A YOUNG BRAND
Signs Unleashed is a relatively young brand that I had the pleasure of helping create and grow from day one. I was able to help set the brand guidelines and create standard and creative web content as the company grew and found their niche clientele - high schools and sports teams.

Think Big
Office Renovations always call for some creative problem solving, and an energetic atmosphere calls for some creative wall graphics.
I created 3 wall graphic panels for Signs Unleashed in the style of a vintage hand-lettered wall mural, a stadium-style organizational tracker, and an inspirational idea whiteboard set in-scene.
I started the process by outlining the key features and elements on paper. Planning for stand-up desks, I had to make sure the design of the main wall was not cut off too much by the furniture and monitors.
From there I made the vector artwork. Pulling the colors from the Signs Unleashed palette, I I laid the type and adjusted the monster into flat, single color shapes.
From there I worked in photoshop, placing the vector artwork on the brick background and applying a few offset filters so the vector artwork formed to the brick. This accomplished the painted mural look I was going for, but it still looked too clean.
I created a few texture brushes and applied them as a clipping mask over the artwork, allowing the red brick to show through in certain areas. Following the natural depth of brick, I was able to render a realistic, aged and degraded street art effect.
Overall, the graphics were a great challenge to conceptualize and execute. I had a lot of creative freedom within the Signs Unleashed brand that allowed me to be a little more playful with my type choices, and the bright colors were a key part of my design inspiration and 70's Retro style that the project evokes.
Promotional Items + Base Projects
With so many different product listings, I had the ability to work on both large and small projects. From promotional Thank You stickers to trade show pop-up banners (both for internal use and external orders), and custom template designs for high school Athlete of the Month signs, I was able to flex and stretch my design and time management skills to maintain workflows that completed every order and design objective, large or small.
Web + Social Images
As an online sign retailer, SignsUnleashed offers a variety of products. To set them apart from other online retailers, we wanted to create new names for some of their most common products.
I created a logo for MonsterHeads incorporating the SignsUnleashed mascot "Sawyer" - holding a monster head (naturally). We then created a new page on the existing site that held all our similar products for parties, events, and schools in one place.
SignsUnleashed offers dozens of customizable products, all of which needed to be featured in different photos on the website for sizing and customization examples. Instead of producing and photographing every product, I was tasked to create realistic mock ups of each of our products to feature on the site's product page.
Using Adobe Photoshop, I was able to create photo-realistic images of yard signs, banners, stickers, vinyl wall wraps, monsterheads, and all of our other products.
I created header images featured on the website and in emails, product images that were used in catalogs and online, and promotional images for relevant events on social media.
March Madness was a huge promotional event we used to showcase our MonsterHeads online and to market to our target audience, sports teams and fans. I created images of crowds of students from the final four schools and added MonsterHeads of coaches, mascots and players, highlighted by the color gradient placed over the background crowd.
