 A BLANK CANVAS

Credit Acceptance recently bought a new building to expand their rapidly growing company. I met with their lead project planners and sat down to go over the massive building and the potential problems that faced the new employees maneuvering the massive space.

A New Way

We came up with an eye-catching hard to miss wayfinding system to color code the North and South sides of the building based on their idea of naming each of their conference rooms after cities across the nation. Because each conference room was going to use each city's look and feel, we decided on following their brand's palette to establish quadrants in the building. Color coding the North and South sides with the quadrants within them followed suit, and from there I was able to create large eye-catching, easy to follow wayfinding.

Because of the building's unique mirrored layout and maze-like hallways, it was easy for employees to get turned around on each floor. Having the wayfinding graphics installed prior to their employees initial move was paramount on making them feel at home in their new surrounding and making the massive space feel more manageable.

This project is currently still ongoing, and I will be updating this project study as it completes Phase 2 of 3 in the coming months.
