A COAT OF ARMS
Walled Lake Northern is the most recent addition to the Walled Lake Consolidated School district. Opened in 2002 with only lowerclassmen, Varsity sports took a backseat until 2010. The fierce and growing athletic department became a contender against it's local rivals, and needed a new mascot to showcase their newfound strength.
A Quick Look
Walled Lake Northern wanted a new mascot to represent their football team. The existing school logo was flat and not a dynamic representation of the Knight.
I created a new variation of the Northern Knight, more in line with collegiate and professional sports brands. I incorporated a sword and a diagonal, battle-ready stance - similar to the leaned stance a player takes on the field before a play.
